Routine Vehicle Maintenance
Proper vehicle maintenance is fairly easy to do, and can save you money on repairs while extending the life of your vehicle.
Here are some simple things you can do:
- Check your engine drive belts for condition and tension. If they appear worn or damaged have them replaced. If they appear loose have them checked and adjusted.
- Check your battery for corrosion. If the terminals are corroded, clean them off.
- Test your brakes. Are they squeaking or grinding?
- Check your air filter. If it is loaded with dirt and debris, it is time for a new one.
- Check your coolant or radiator fluid. It’s important to do this before Winter, and before Summer.
If you’re nearing a major milestone on your vehicle, such as 60,000 or 100,000 miles, schedule a multi-point inspection. We can perform the manufacturers recommended services. Plus, often times we can catch small problems before they become larger, more expensive problems.
